Does techno take you the highest??

All genres evoke different emotions for different people, I know. But doesn't there seem to be something about techno that is the most drug-like? It's like when I listen to techno I feel "connected" somehow, I feel like i'm "in".

*Will expand on this thought later, gotta fly.

It usually makes wish I'd take my own life.

Joking. Sort of.

To complete my original thought:

I think a lot of it has to do with the energy that is injected into techno music, that's why it's more drug-like in my opinion. Metal is pretty intense too, but it doesn't quite have that ominous quality that techno does. Also, there's the whole dancing aspect; techno envokes the urge to dance which means it is really taking a hold of you on multiple levels.

It's definitely the most engaging music.

You are so right techno is just like a drug. In fact when i go to the clubs i don't even do drugs or drink, i get high on the music and vibes of the bodies in motion. The best part is that i don't know the artists or song names so i dont have to care about the songs once they are over, just the feelings

you're right about the artists black. part of the beauty of techno is that there is no voice to recognize, so the artist could be any one or no one - it just doesn't matter. techno sort of flows in and out of your life.

i think if you look at the structure of most electronic music, techno would be one type, youll see that most songs build into an intense crescendo. which probably explains why you feel high, you are actually feeling the release of tension that the artist was slowly building throughout the track, or in some cases throughout the whole album, dj set etc.

uh no, does techno take you the highest? but srsly, headaches aren't fun. I'd say that death metal and techno are the two genres that beat country music, in terms of lack of smoke-to-ability.
