are these just beats? You got an interesting sound. I'd love to hear some flow on top.

your drum tracks sound mono while your samples are obviously stereo, try doubling up on your kicks and snares (layer them over eachother)... should help them "beef" out a bit, there's alot of empty space in your mix...

question - whats the best site to upload your own music to? I joined that soundclick, but it cant upload anything i've sent to itunes. says it needs to be an mp3 file. how computer illiterate am I ? very apparently. How do I get say.. a song from garageband exported into an mp3 file. or what is a better site that can use itunes?

bandcamp! you have to upload in .wav form but garageband should be able to export to .wav...

I don't know much about garageband though, I'm not privileged enough to have a Mac.

www.soundcloud.com

is pretty good aswell.

Didn't read the full message, fairly sure its compatable with iTunes though.

Any good audio editor will export as .mp3
I use Sony Sound Forge myself, mainly out of habit... just load the .wav then Save As... .mp3

@ CUTTA... nice sound, as al-Mu'akhkhir pointed out... the mix sounds a little flat on the beats... like he said, experiment with layering Kick and Snare tracks, also experiment with and research compression... essential to master this for fat beats... all comes with experience though, like anything worth doing it takes practice!

Good stuff!

i just started using bandcamp.com and I really like it, I haven't tried soundcloud but I think that bandcamp is definitely better than myspace or reverbnation or soundclick.

@ cutta: thanks.

You can export as an mp3 from iTunes.

Go to File > Preferences > General > Import Settings > Select Mp3 160 or 192/kbs

Then in iTunes browser control click (right click) the file you want to convert and "Convert to Mp3" should be an option.

Then just track down where it saved the file and upload it.

I like what you got going on here.

What are you using to produce and mix it?
