yeah i know the bass is repeated (through the verse, not the chorus though) but it's a really good bassline. and the drummer is killer.

waves, are you unaware of the fact that virtually all music these days is derivative of earlier works?

funky maffoo. Reminds me of when your thinking before bed and you repeat a thought and it get's louder and louder. But the electronic version of that. Kinda paints weird pictures on the top of my brain.

that's a dope beat. imo, this one would bang with a bass line or maybe double up on the 1st kick with a low tuned 808 boom bass kick @ every 1 or 2 measures. and i like the sample[s] you used (the vibraphone and the "oohhhoohhh" lady vocal).

You might be surprised to know that the vocal sample is actually marvin gaye

though he is pitch adjusted to sound more like a woman...

And thanks for cluing me into what instrument that first sample was.
