The Unicorns/Islands?
Anyone dig the Unicorns or the member's newer band ISLANDS? "Who will cut our hair when we're gone?" Is one of my favorite albums of all time.

return to the sea and the arm were sweet albums. never listened to the unicorns. the same guy (nick thorburn) just dropped another album from yet another side project: human highway - moody motorcycle. i'd give it a listen...maybe a little folkier, but mostly along similar lines.

I like Islands, but I thought the Unicorns were quite a bit better.
They were like psychadelic indie synth pop for little kids and people on mushrooms. You need to know what you're getting before you listen to them though...Otherwise you might miss their brilliance. Songs like "Ghost Mountain" and "I was born a unicorn" are indie pop masterpieces in my opinion. And is it just me or did Crayola use the guitar intro from "I was born a unicorn" in one of their commercials about 8 months ago?
