KiD CuDi - Man on the Moon: The End of Day

This is a really great album. Highly recommended. I'll up it tonight.

It's as good, if not better than his mixtape.

It's not good to listen to this as individual songs. You have to take in the whole album to experience it.
I like that he uses the same voice in most of the songs. His delivery gives the album a very consistent feel throughout, as if he's telling a story.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

I think so. But my experience with rap/hip hop is kind of limited, so Idk.

I heard that this was absolutely terrible. I heard the mixtape just prior was good. Gotta say I'm not interested in the dude regardless though. What makes it so special Bears?

The album's concept really works and it has a very unique tone. Good raps, fresh beats, catchy hooks, immaculate production. Trippy as fuck too. Very spacey, it doesn't feel like any of the shitty radioplay Top-40 crap.

I saw online somewhere that said this album is just mainstream rap trying to break in to the underground.
I don't think that's the case. I mean how mainstream is a dude that's only got a mixtape out?
But even if that is what's what, it still could be a turning point and this album could help change the direction of main stream rap if it does well.

I think the only song that isn't a "B" or higher is "Make Her Say"... but I think that's just cause it doesn't fit in to the album very well.

Nosaj Thing does the Man on the moon beat. I much prefer Nosaj's beat w/out his Cudi's lyrics. The nosaj song is called "Aquarium"

Cudi is weak. Lyrics are repetitive and unoriginal and his singing voice is awful. I've heard a couple decent hooks by him but would prefer a different voice singing the lyrics.
