The problem actually lies in your definition of what is radio.

I listen to winamp radio, I listen to Radio Paradise - Commercial Free Internet Radio at work, I listen to broadcast radio in the car. My neighbors just bought a new truck with Sirius radio built in.

So, at the root of it, I listen to 'radio' on purpose but what I call radio and what you call radio might not be the same.

No radio, I like to discover music through more organic means...

^ worrd. efff the radio. sirius is alright, but i haven't had it for 3 years. there was also that dope internet radio that would find you music and creat your station based on stuff you liked, and it would play stuff you might not have heard and shiz.. what was that? it got shut down in canada but was availabe in the US for a while after.. pretty sure it got downed in the US eventually too though.

i can't take fm radio though.. like 3-6 song rotations for 3+ hours at a time and shit.. sometimes local college/university stations are solid though, and CBC radio is pretty awesome.

if you know how to work the dial you'll find there are many types of music on the radio. death metal, techno, underground rap... you just gotta know when to listen.

just because there's lots of different stuff doesn't mean there's lots of good stuff on fm.

Yeah I listen to hella radio. I get sick of listening to my favorite music or stuff I think i will like. Radio will blast you with tunes you forgot about from back in the day, songs that are socially relevant, and shit you just wanna hear once in a while.

and NPR which is the shit.

and ya aidz, i think that's the thing with people's perceptions/opinions of radio is how local it is. some places radio may be dope, other just mainstream playing nickelback and econoline crush and creed and whatever else the kids listen to these days.. fuck there is some bad fucking music on the radio where i live.

Hows internet radio not radio? Why would I wanna listen to crappy analog sound if I can listen to the same stations and hundreds more in quality digital sound freely provided by my ISP? (http://www.internode.on.net/radio/)

I'm listening to one of those morning zoo radio talk shows right now. There's something about them that makes you feel apart of something.
