i feel like royce is TOO independent like thinks hes such a genius that he doesnt need to work with better people...

shake this is definitely one of my fav tracks period, but I felt the album could have been more cohesive.

Besides that I'm gonna declare upload or GTFO with this thread. I might make a new one.

It's all original music written and arranged by BK One himself with beat contributions from Benzilla (rhymsayers up and comer), featuring a lot of Brazilian jazz musicians as well as a chicago jazz group.

I haven't even heard of the albums yall are mentioning so upload dat, I'll definitely check them. Grieves is usually good with left field suggestions... Speaking of which Cunninlynguists will be with Grieves in Burlington VT in a couple weeks..

As far as Hip-Hop albums go, I wasn't too impressed this year.

I liked By The Throat from Eyedea & Abilities, although a lot of people thought they were getting too "emo" or whatever.

I like Ghostface & Raekwon's releases, but they were both pretty average, and OB4CL2 didn't live up to the enormous amount of hype surrounding it... From what I was hearing about it it was supposed to be on the same level as say...a sequel to the bible... On a Wu note I also liked Chamber Music, but I felt it was sloppy and it felt rushed to me... it felt more like a mixtape than an album.

The more I listen to Padded Room from Joe Budden the more it became one of my favorite albums, and is probably my favorite from '09.

There are a lot more I felt were good, but hardly any I thought were great.
