The ULTIMATE

I could never list my favorite bands/musicians before.. but now I have a pretty good idea.

Jimi Hendrix
Frank Zappa
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Incubus
Paul Gilbert
Talvin Singh
Van Halen
The Beatles
Pearl Jam
Wolfmohter
Bob Marley
Pink Floyd
Creed
The Doors
Queen
Yes
Lit

What do you think about them...? How does it reflect on me IYHO? What associations come when you see a particular song or genre?

pretty much, even though most of those acts are indeed primo quality music

the other thing i noticed is that there are no bands from the 2000's (wolfmother doesnt count they suck)

check out some animal collective or neon indian or somethin matt, theres newer better trippier music being put out today than ever

I do like lots of other music... just that I feel these are the only bands IMHO who consistently produce high class songs.

A friend from the US told me that creed wer a gay christian band.. and that nobody relly likes the. But I am fom England.. so its ok to like them. heh

I think that Paul Gilbert is a really interesting choice for one of your favourites. A friend of mine and I used to just laugh at the cheese presentations that he had in some old instructional videos, but he is an exciting player to watch when I think of 'acrobatics' on the fretboard.
Like 'WTF' Technique is what I mean if you've never seen him play.
