So apparently no one cared to tell me but ”lafur Arnalds put out a new full length in April. Should be amazing. Getting it now but haven't listened yet.

Never did get into them much to be honest. Not bad, just never drew me in. Have a handful of their albums too. Terry if you never checked into it Arnalds is prolly your style I'm thinkin.

I really want that fucking TWDY already.

wolf parade died when Hadji left / when 'at mount zoomer' came out.

Their last two albums are still good music - just not that same raw awesomeness that is their early e.p.s and first album. with that said my wolf parade t-shirt is one of my favourites and i am actually wearing it right now....

anyways same goes for two other albums from (used to be) awesome bands that released garbage this year:

-minus the bear - OMNI
-yeasayer - whatever shit of a record they released, cant remember the name

You should give the album a chance, it isn't Apologies, it isn't the EPs, but definitely redeems them of Mount Zoomer which I thought sucked, it was too Sunset Rubdown-ish.. I like Sunset Rubdown, but it bleed into Wolf Parade too much on that album. But Expo is a pretty damn good album.

But regardless, they're an amazing live band, if anyone has a chance to go catch them, you should go. I seen them twice and both times they were just awesome.

9/10 times i agree with you...but this time i 100% disagree,

I have followed all three bands for years and have seen them a combined 20 times, and all released very fun records this year, they may not be as intellectually stimulating as past efforts, but they are all very fun dancable records, which mean fun concerts, instead of people just moving in a kinda "eh ill shake side to side, until i have to jump" these songs get to you and make you want to actually dance/move/sing along to the music...One man's sell out is another's new favorite band, and i am glad that all three are making music that sounds like it was fun to make/play...

Yeah I gotta say I did not dig the BOH either save for a few moments. Too many songs filled with real crappy lyrics and mediocre songs. Was a let down for me and I'm pretty big on them. I appreciate that they tried something a little different, but it was no bueno.

Oh Reflection Eternals new album snuck out on me, haven't really checked it out too much yet but I heard good things. And that new Roots seems like it's finally coming out June 22nd and has a promising tracklist.

cosmogramma is glorious !!

and so is everything coming from LA / califownia these days :
the last records from Free the Robots, Alex B., Asura, TAKE, tokimonsta, Mono/Poly, LORN, etc., are ASTOUNDING.

Either way you look at it, FlyLo's influence/fortune has much to do with the success of many/(all) of the artists I just listed.....

I'll admit I liked their previous two albums much better but I still think it was a decent album (Inifinite Arms)

you people are acting like this is Dylan going electric or something

Don't know if it's been mentioned but the new Lightning Bolt album, Earthly Delights is absolutely sick.

Dude, seriously. Been anxiously awaiting this since word dropped that it was even in the works, can't believe nothing but that one song has leaked yet.
