2010 albums.
We're a month or so in, what've we got so far?
I'm only up to 6. Nothing I've been terribly impressed with either sadly. There is however a shitton of what should be amazing albums on their way out further this year. Alkaline Trio - This Addiction Dessa - A Badly Broken Code Laura Veirs - July Flame Nneka - Concrete Jungle Titus Andronicus - The Monitor I'm ridiculously pumped on this new track off of Tallest Man On Earth's album however. Oh and Grieves, Broken Bells live up to it's potential? Also just realized I spaced and forgot all about getting Corrine Bailey Ray - The Sea, RJD2 - The Collossus and the new Spoon one just for shits and giggles. Don't think I've really enjoyed an album of theirs since Girls Can Tell though.

Yeah word, I know it just started, it's what made for a fun thread.
Uh I cobbled together a basic list the other day when I was ridiculously bored. Some I'm actually excited for, others it's because I've heard every other album by them so why not, others I'm curious to see what they are doing after 10 years. Oh and Gabriel is covering some good songs and I want to see how they'll turn out. massive attack heligoland 2/9 gil scott heron - im new here 2/9 peter gabriel - scratch my back (covers) 2/15 freeway & jake one - stimulus package 2/16 brian jonestown massacre - who killed sgt pepper? 2/23 Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me 2/23 alberta cross - broken side of time 3/9 BRMC - beat the devils tattoo broken bells (james mercer/dangermouse) - s/t ted leo - the brutalist bricks wu-tang: method rae & ghost - 3 the hard way ludacris - battle of the sexes 3/16 nas and damien marley - distant relatives Erykah Badu - New Amerykah, Part II: Return Of The Ankh 3/30 tallest man on earth - the wild hunt 4/13 apples in stereo - travellers in space and time 4/20 javelin - no mas 4/20 Jill Scott - The Light Of The Sun 8/??/10 Common - The Believer 12/28/10 Wiz Khalifa - First Flight 12/28/10 albums with no release dates as of yet: against me, black keys, blink 182, candlebox, coldplay, days of the new, fleet foxes, gaslight anthem, incubus, jimmy eat world, ludacris, portishead, radiohead, roots, shins, tool Oh and some silly shit got left off the list that I'm sure some people would be hyped on (i.e. 47th posthumous Tupac album, Shakurspeare lol)

So far this year I've loved
Broken Bells - S.T. Hot Chip - One Life Stand Surfer Blood - Astro Coast Ok Go - just the song skyscrapers off the new album... Intuition - Girls like Me etc...

I really never listened to OK Go but I can really appreciate the choreography required for that one treadmill dancing video.

animal collective/ Fall Be Kind - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and four tet/ There Is Love in You - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia both are amazing listen to em for sure

dude you're looking foward to the new alkaline trio record but didnt like transference? you're crazy! i am also very much looking foward to the new joanna newsom record.
i havent heard much else i've liked this year. i agree that the new four tet album is quite good. i did hear the new xiu xiu album and that is pretty wretched
