does anyone listen to screamo? alot of people i know who dont listen to it have a misconception about what sort of music it is (worst case scenario: the used). i've always had a soft spot for intense dramatic music and a few years ago i discovered alot of great bands in the screamo genre from the united states and otherwise.

For me, screamo has a lot to do with where I'm at in life. That can mean either emotionally or the actual location I'm standing. I haven't listened to screamo for like a year, I just wasn't feeling it. Then yesterday I was walking downtown and some old screamo came on my ipod and I thought to myself "this feels right". So I enjoyed it. The feeling was youthful and slightly obnoxious with a hint of danger.

neither of those two bands are anything even close to what i mean by screamo. not knocking them or anything but metalcore is something that alot of people i know have confused with screamo. besides being wretched to my ears, they arent the same thing at all, there isnt much of a metal influence in screamo at all.

Showbread: The first screamo band I ever got into, mainly cause they were the hardest Christian stuff that I could find, at a time when I was only allowed to listen to Christian music.

Im not a big fan of most screamo but heres some similar stuff.

Chiodos screams in most of there songs but tastefully lol.

I could only find a live version theres also not the most screaming but its still awesome and they just broke up which sucks dick but im going to see them on the 13th!

I dont even think you can consider at the drive in screamo, but this song is fuckin sick. Theres some screaming during the chorus though.
