RIP Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse)

some people have probably heard that mark linkous shot himself on saturday. i was a fan, especially of good morning spider, one of my favorite albums. he almost died in '96 on account of a kinda bizarre overdose situation where he passed out with his legs pinned under him. his heart was stopped for almost two minutes and even after they got him going again he had a pretty good chance of losing his legs. i guess things have been up and down for him ever since then, with a big emphasis on down. its really too bad

To be honest I never listened. One of those bands I always heard about and just never listened to. Sad to say I finally gave it a shot the day I heard about this. Downloaded It's A Wonderful Life and enjoyed it a lot. Just grabbed Good Morning Spider, so thanks for that. That whole potassium deal was pretty crazy as well. Tis a shame.
