How did you discover Tom?
For me, it's more than just finding an artist I liked. I fell in love with Tom the same night I fell in love with my partner. The first time I went to his house he played Rain Dogs for me. That was it. They are equally responsible for me falling in love with the other one.
I always say my favorite is Christmas Card Fom A Hooker In Minneapolis, but Chocolate Jesus is right up there. And Martha...And Cold Cold Ground...And.... It's all about mood for sure. There are so many. Even Had Me A Girl, which sounds nothing like the Tom Waits that everyone knows well. I could go on for days....and days... |
