if you dont think the beatles are one of the best bands ever you have no idea what music is all about and you probably suck

cream was just great, dont get me wrong claptons one of the top 5 guitarists to grace the stage. ginger baker is one of the most ruthless rock drummers ever. jack bruce is an amazing bass player. the beatles just have them beat as songwriters and being original.

the band is just good, at big pink is a landmark album but other than that their material is just good.

the beatles shaped popular music itself, they werent technically as proficient as the guys in cream but they could write better tunes and knew pop music better than any other band since

the band was just a jam outlet for dudes with other bands...

the beatles, led zeppelin, pink floyd, even the who, were all way more influential, better overall musicians, better showmen, had longer careers, and are all overall better bands than the two that you mentioned...

They "stole" alot, principally because of the album a year pressure they were under, as the biggest band in the world...They were quite great at taking something and making it uniquely theirs though...A skill that is echoed today in the production methods of rap/hip-hop music and various forms of pop music...

artistic integrity is important to me

as for hip/hop theres a huge difference between sampling something and writing your own words/ideas over it and just ripping shit off, melody, lyrics and all. but of course you can use the excuse that you were 'making it your own' even though you gave no credit and the musicians in question had to take you to court to get what was rightfully theres. seriously led zeppelins been sued more times than corporate america.

they werent horrible, just because their early career was built on ripping off blues artists doesnt make their entire careers bullshit. i like physical graffiti. lots of good original stuff on that album. at least i think its original, can never really be sure with those guys

That list only includes Beatles songs and not from their solo careers. And remember, they were only together about 8 years.
