also, none of us haven't liked the two bands that you are all over in this thread...it is that they are at a stage in their career where no-one really cares what their next move is...the die hards will go see the band regardless, but the moment is over, these are dudes that are just trying to pay their mortgages, man...

It's like getting stoked for a Dylan show/album...Everyone has seen/heard Dylan or will see/hear him...It's like getting excited for morning or some shit...

311's last couple albums (especially the latest) have been ridiculously cheesy. They've always had cheese in their lyrics but the new album has me interested. There's an interview where they say this record will have no ballads. So that's a start, right? But yeah, it's kind of like they created a formula for how to write music and haven't changed much even when their shit was on fire.

I have a real hard time with sublime calling themselves sublime. They weren't even the greatest band but they did point me to a lot of great music I wouldn't of heard without them.

im excited for the new sublime cd and I hope they do well...

I saw 311 once sitting backstage at the warped tour laying in an open field while I knew just on the other side of that stage was an ocean of sunburned burned out people, and the sun was setting...it was a really cool experience but I dont think ill be buying their cds....
