... so i dont know if any of u have been paying attention. but i remember at least a few of u with the same taste in music as me, so for those of u just a quick comment.

have u listened to any of the new umphreys mcgee shows from this summer?

specifically from like may 2011 - now. ? most are on archive.org for free... but ive bought probably about half of them after listening to em on archive.org for a while- for any sci fans or umph fans, i gotta tell u that this summer the umph boys have really been in top form, the best form ive ever seen em in.

check out some of the summer versions of "august", "push the pig" "wappy sprayberry" "divisions" and basically any other one- and their new album single miami virtue is also awesome.

i dont know whats up with them, but ive been following them for several years now, but this summer they have really been in a whole nother stratosphere... so if u want some good prog rock jamming thats imo some of the tightest jamming out there today, at least do yourself a favor and peep some of the free shows on archive.org


...and as for sci, everybody knows their electric forest festival is availible to download on iclips.net for something like 5 bucks a show right? hd video of the entire 3+ hour show, its like 10 hours total of cheese at their best fucking festival of the past few years, for around 20 bucks...totally worth it.

sci isnt exactly on the top of their game, like umph is, but i still love sci. who cant? and by the way, this winter sci is having its first multi city tour since 2006-7, and more than half of em are already sold out- so if u want to go to one of them act fast.


so thats my musical tastes roundup. anybody else on my wavelength here? anybody got any good umph tracks to recommend or any comments about either of my two favorite bands ?

....if you have no idea what im talking about- then dammit, u owe it to yourself to listen to some GOOD MUSIC.

also umphreys has some crazy packages availible right now. everything from playing a game of kickball with your friends on one team versus um on the other team...to remixing a track off their album in their studio with their engineer and using alternate takes and releasing it on itunes, to playing a round of golf with the lead singers, to a steak dinner with the band to a private concert in a private venue for 50k... i wish i had some extra dough because some of those packages are pretty crazy and im just groovin on umphreys lately enough to consider some of the less expensive ones. too bad obamas economy is fucking killing everyone.
