Anyone given it a listen or given it a chance? I tried, I think I got like 5-6 songs and and realized I had stopped paying attention and was pretty disappointed with it. Didn't feel very Carterish as I've been a big fan of 1-3.

I will say I do like this song though

Ahem. Uh to be honest I liked it.

Everyone probably is aware that historically I'm not much for that whiny little bastard, but I enjoyed this album. A few shitty songs/appearances for sure, but overall it's a decent album. It seems a few people I know that had boners for Wayne for a long time don't like this album, so it's possible I'm missing something by not knowing the back catalogue. Still not entirely sure how I ended up not absolutely hating him anymore though, I'm guessing repeated exposure. I will never get used to that damn 6 ft 7 ft song though, instant goddamn headache. Oh and yeah, President Carter is pretty good, dope sample for sure.

Actually I gotta admit I can't think of any great great ones that have come out in that time frame off the top of my head. I could name a handful of singles but not a whole album within the last 2. I know I've been championing dude a lot lately but J. Cole's debut is out at the end of the month and will for sure be solid, so I'm gonna say that'll at least be one.

uncommon valor is one of the best hop hop songs of all time. i saw RA live back in like 02 i think, hes an amazing talent.

as for waynes album, its absolute garbage lyrically. so is the production on most.

No doubt you'll disagree but I gotta say Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday album is hella fresh. Maybe if it didn't hit the mainstream so hard it would get more street credit, but she is a truely, TRUELY gifted rapper.

Tech N9nes album was really good to btw. Having never been a Tech fan, I was really surprised how good it was actually.

lol figured you'd like that aidz. I remember going back and forth with you about Wayne way back. I blame the drink and the black women for the change.

Actually I seriously have no clue what did it. Think I just had to step away from the hype and I've got a roommate who plays that bullshit constantly but also likes some decent shit and I think he tossed a decent song or two my way and it went from there. Actually it's probably just the booze.

Oh and while we're bsing, thanks for the heads up on Los, I'd never heard of dude but I dig it. I even didn't think Tech's spot on the Wayne album was atrocious, though I'll still never forgive him for that performance I was subjected to and his terrible musical past. And I'm still expecting my CDQ of Temptation when it drops.
