What songs do you play on the jukebox @ a bar?
There's always those people who play obscure songs on the jukebox that don't really fit the mood. I make it a point not to be one of those people. You gotta play something that everyone will like.
Some of my old standby's: Prince - Little Red Corvette Ratt - Round and Round Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train Of course it depends on what kinda bar you're in. Allman Brothers is really good biker bar music but if I'm going to a younger hangout I might play some Bobby Brown R&B. The general rule of thumb is you can never go wrong with 80's hair metal. What songs do you spend your hard earned money on to get the crowd going? |

What kind of place do hang out where they have Ratt on the jukebox? Cougar central? Thats quite the assumption, that everyone will like that overplayed 80s crap.

Fuck I dunno man I don't go to the bar anymore. But let me try and take that trip down memory lane...four years ago....
I do remember putting Prison Sex by Tool on there a lot. Something about that line 'shit blood and cum on my hands' generally resonated with the sort of appetites I had during that time - not literally those three things, but that sort of unleashed filthiness. Hum what else. I'd almost always throw a Sublime song on there, because everyone liked sublime, but I'd NEVER put on santeria, it would always be something off 40 oz cuz I was JUST SO COOL like that. Oh and something from the beloved classic compilation: Big Shiny Tunes 2. Blur's song 2, Prodigy's breathe, marylin manson's beautiful people, radiohead's paranoid android, bran van 3000's drinkin' in LA, that album was gold, in the 90s as a kid in elementary, and in the early 2000s as a kid inebriated.

Oh Loverboy is choice bar music... I think I've played Lovin' Every Minute Of It a time or two.
Sir-Ex those are God-aweful bar songs. Sublime, Marilyn Manson, Tool? Do they serve 15 year olds at that bar? |

Depends on what bar I go to. If I go where the younger crowd is I play some GNR, ACDC, and Tom Petty. Throw in some Lupe, Wiz, and misc hip hop. If I go to the PVR (older crowd) I tend to play more country than hiphop. Country artists are usually Brooks and Dunn, George Straight, and Toby Keith.
