Music you knew about but never listened to then were like OMG WHY DID I WAIT

The Micranots. I've been listening to I Self Divine on guest appearances on things for years and years now.

Heard of the Micranots a long time ago. Never knew I Self was a part of that. His flow is great. Back Pack type stuff fo sho but I have no shame when it comes to that.

Always heard The Strokes on the radio in the early 00's, but never really delved into much of their music until recently. Lyrically some great stuff, and many solid tunes. Shame their new CD isn't all that great aside from a few songs.

I agree with the strokes. I used to think it was some mumbly bullshit, but now I realise how good they are.

For me though it would probably be The Jackson 5. Heard the odd song here and there when I was growing up, but didn't develop an appreciation for them until recently.

I fucking love Dream Theater! I am actually gonna put some on right now!

I have known of David Grey for years, The two or so songs they play on the radio are OK, nothing fantastic, but I just started listening to full albums, hot damn I really, really like him now.

This guy is the beginning of Shock Rock. He was scaring the shit out of people (not just whitey!) for two decades before Alice Cooper came along.

Watch for :33 to :48 for a fifteen seconds that say more than some people try to say in fifteen minutes.

Then, imagine basic TV and the radio as your only instant connection to the outside world, because that's all everyone else has around you too.

This was back in a time when a woman without a bra had the potential to incite riots among men.....or so they thought.

Then this guy comes along and freaks everyone out.

Pink Floyd for sure, was never into them before I smoked pot, thought they were lame and boring.

but I do show—thanks to a lot of in-depth interviews with GOP sources—how they plotted to obstruct Obama before he even took office. I show how the stimulus was chock full of stuff they claimed to support until Jan. 20, 2009—not just things like health IT and the smart grid and energy efficiency and scientific research, but the very idea of Keynesian stimulus. Every presidential candidate in 2008 proposed a stimulus package, and Mitt Romney’s was the largest.
