Joey Bada$$ Said Hes A Better Rappers Than Tupac

Quote:
I believe that I am one of the minds that Pac said would spark the change in the world, he tells Genius. Im probably not the one that is going to change the worldprobably the one after me. Its also a part of me wanting to have their messages travel further. I know there is a lot of people out there that resonate with me, who dont necessarily resonate with them. I already know Im a better rapper than Tupac is. Thats just facts. One on one battle, Ill flame Pac.

Quote:
When I said I was better than PAC (my favorite rapper of all time) I was refering to rap skill. Bar for bar. Not accolades or influence.

Yo Geeno and anyone else that knows the works of both...

What say you?

Joey have more outright talent and better raps than Pac or is this just another case of a youngin' trying to take a seat at the table?

I honestly consider myself a huge hip hop head and never gotten the hype behind Pac and Biggie. Maybe it's just a generational thing.

Making a statement. It's a dying art, and he is one of the torch bearers of the standard of quality that should be expected. It's a silly thing to consider because he, like pac, stands on the shoulders of giants. However pac was able to do much more because of his earlier position. Pac was a gen 2 rapper more or less, part of what took the genre to multiplatinum status (which doesn't really exist anymore).

It's a thought provoking comment. Sort of makes me feel a sense of loss for something that doesnt exist.
