Tribe called quest were the stop gap between rap and de la soul for people that didn't really have much interest in either but loved the sound of jazz-funk rap. Some much that they could ignore the execution. Got to love them stop-start flavas!

I think the AC/DC stands for really high vocals and too many damn solos. Except that the leter are different and there are too many words. Give it a riff that somehow manages to be loud and boring and you'll create something. I don't have enough face cheese to know anymore than that I am sorry.

Paul Simon is what you would go to see if you thought the simon and garfunkle gig would be too rowdy so you took away one of them.

KISS are glam rock for white trash. Put enough fire and makeup into the live show and people might ignore the fact that they aren't particarly different from anything else. Anything else including the gulag.

I thought Peter Frampton was like just a joke when they had hiim on family guy. They had this ironic thing about everyone loving his music even though it has the most inane lyrics and basic melodies you will hear in a love song but as long as you do it on acoustic guitar then you can get away with anything. Because acoustic is hard. Oh and give it plenty of organ interlude so that he doesn't have to do anything himself.




I don't know anything about bread except that some people classify them as soft rock.

Incubus had the great idea one day of putting elctronica sounds with rock music. There was however one problem. They did it whilst drunk. Only I assume that's how they did it.

Red hot chilli pepers did not rock. They did not bring the funk. MAybe earlier on when nobody cared about what they did. But then they became the idiotic anthems of pop-rockers everywhere since they hit all the right buttons. Guitars, drums, kind of quasi syncopated rapping sort of but never quite and definatley constant. They mass appeal has been the fact you do not need a brain to formulate their music.

Blue oyster cult had that one song. I can't remember it just now but damnit they had that song.

How the hell did lovage consisting of all those artists stil lnot be able to get something cohesive into music. Perhaps it was because thay had kid kolala on board. Yes we know that scratching is impressive. Now move on to making it seem like music rather than each person trying to out do the other.

Oh great Nas. What drama has he invented this time so that his atest album of random number table rap can sell?

Eminem is like funny but then he's also violent to the point it's funny. Which makes him nice and accessible for people that want a rap album so they can say "I like all music" but don't really like rap.

Dr Dre has found his formula and he is sticking to it. In fact he's got less innovative since NWA, give it the same old g-funk and some stabbing samples (not literal stabbing obviously) and put his latest gravy trai...protage over the top. Then buy a mansion.

Him have a heartagram as their symbol. There music is like the heartagram; dark yet pussy.
