NWA created gangsta rap by taking rap to the extreme in order to sell big fat piles of records. Unfortunately none of them really had the skills in any field to really create something special. So you have to like it because it's so barebones and simplistic. Then again grandpa is pretty bare bones and simplistic but I don't him seeing him inventing a genre when he pisses his pants. Oh no wait coldplay.

Public enemy took their comedy stylings and put a fat beat behind it. They didn't do much else but you have to admire the way that there fashion sense is reversely proportional to their egos. Changing the world, with CLICHES NIGGA!

At some point Muse will create a song that doesn't have an annoying sound on it. Whether it be a guitar torn to shreds by a blender, vocals higher than god, the drummer PLAYING A GLOCKENSPIEL or just some out of tune piano playing they're consistent. I always get the same amount of blood coming out of my ears when someone puts a muse album on.

You quite simply have to be on drugs to listen to Hendrix. There's nothing I quite like better than the same lacklustre plodding lyrics whilst you wait for that big solo that is always in there. It's like you can see him setting his guitar on fire man. Except you can't because your sitting around in your underpants eating cheese and smoking up.

Cream are a superband. At least that's what my dad told me. Apart from that they take the drug excess drudgery of the laye sixties to new heights os seen-it-beforism. I'm pretty sure that they split up because they forgot they were playing music and just started trying to out shine each other. No wait, that was their whole career.

Old green day like back when they wanted to be a punk band but were failing? All those great songs that don't exist because Mr Armstrong has two settings 1)Whining about something 2)grabbing three chords to go underneath.

Cannibal corpse is like being molested by an ostrich. It's an exercise in resistance rather than a particualry enjoyable event. What's the point if it all ends up being mashed intothe same sludge anyway?

Tupac's dead ass sells. If I rapped with as much conviction then I could probably make my ghetto legend too.

The misfits need to do three things; 1)Never try and make a melody involving the lead singer, whoever he is. 2)Find a new bass line 3)GEt some suntans. Hiring some members with talent might help to. Like anew drummer, from the zoo.

Bauhaus might have the complete annoyance package. Shitty lyrics about surfing the slipstream of my fist or the galaxy. And then to top it all off a lead singer with the shittiest voice that I have ever heard. Seriously, he sounds like he had a strizzoke in his brizzaine when he was 12.

Wu tang have got some good member but that makes up like 0.000000000000000000 00000000000000000000 0000000001% of their million man project. Dr King would be proud to see old dirty bastard getting arrested on crack charges.

I am going to find the person that told boy george when he was coked up that he could sing and I am going to hurt him. There is a line between image and music. Culture club didn't have that line. They didn't have music so there was no need for one. And their image was shit too.

Every ramones song in the entire world ever is three or four chords up and down. that doesn't grate me. What grates me is the way that you can sort of here what the lead singer is singing but not quite so it sounds like the lyric is "living in a bathtub." It's also slow. Very, very slow. Slow enough for you to have time to listen which is never a good thing with punk music.

I just listened to it. Some parts were interesting, but it seemed like they were just stretching their legs. On wikipedia they said they were trying something new. I think the next Thrice album will be good. I still like the older songs better, but I'll give the songs another chance. I'm pretty high and it's hard to remember the whole album right now.

They said they used a bunch of different instruments but I didn't really hear anything other than piano. I remember some pretty good hardcore parts but the melodic counterparts weren't matching in integrity. They didn't make good riffs this time. They are getting the feel for themselves again.

Well I d/led it on a Torrent so I've heard the whole thing...it's clear that they are bored with hard stuff... I listened to it a few times through and it didn't blow me away like I thought it would, but then I thought it was because I didn't really give the songs a chance...It's a few weeks later and I'm still disappointed.

I agree with the riffs and melody, it seems like they make an attempt to put something nice together but fall just short... then again, their style of music is quite different from what they normally put out and are used to.

While there is maybe one or 2 songs that I think are alright, the CD as a whole is a big let down for me. I think they peaked with AITA

Nirvana are little more than sloppy instrumentisation that is played with enough angst to make it feel recognisable to all the people who have sloppy lives but fill the rest with lots of angst. Oh you're pissed off, we get it. Here's four steps to how you could help that.
1)Stop doing heroin.
2)Stop singing (sic) about how angsty you are.
3)Stop banging Courtney Love.
4)Stop taking yourself so seriously.

Black sabbath are another one of those classic rock bands that stick to the same old formula except they didn't really have any enthusiasm for anything. Doing drugs made them and ruined them.

If you think about the members it had the band was never going to work. Even as a celebration of americana it does not work. The band wrote the rule book that super bands like cream and lovage were to follow later; way too many egos. You can literally hear the hangers on of each member playing one off the other in order to get another taste of the money and dick
