Time For An Outdoor Thread
I'm going to be starting my outdoor grow in a week or two. I was lucky to have marked an area last fall and the trees and shade will not be an issue this year for the south facing area. The spot is also closer to a water source than last year. The water source did not dry up by October. It's a pond or something.
Here's what I've done so far. I clear the area of all leaves, branches, sticks, and debis. I have a hole digger that I used to cut holes in the ground last week. The tool is like a hollow tube you push into the ground to make a 3" diameter hole upto 12 inches deep. After the hole is made, just squeeze the handle and the dirt clod falls out. It also came in very handy in my mom's garden when I planted her bulbs. The area I live in underwent major renovations over a 5 year period to remove coal tar, benzine, and other chemical that were being held in underground storage tanks from the 1920's. All the old growth was removed, and new trees have been planted. Around all the new trees all up and down the block is a 5' diameter circle of new clean soils and mulch. I work the mulch next door to remove the dandilions so my yard doesn't get infected and found the soil and mulch very workable, soft and of a decent grade. This will be my soil for my summer grow. When I'm sure the last freeze/frost has taken place, I will be taking a sum of the soil mixture to fill the holes I made in the ground at my plot and over time spread the mulch around my plants to control weeds and to assist in retaining moisture for the palnts. I encourage everyone growing outdoors this year to use this thread, and together we can keep all the outdoor information and advice in a single handy thread. Good Luck All! |

Awesome! Where I grow I had to use a spud(or tamping) bar to bust up all the limestone in the ground and pry out some big ass rocks.
I would suggest actually that your holes should have been prepared already but if some of you havent I'd do it asap cuz it's getting warm. Farmers are starting to plow. Watch the farmers, they know they best time to start planting. Also keep your eye in the sky...I cant be positive but yesterday I was outside and one of those unmanned drones(predator?) flew over...I dont what for but Im pretty sure thats what it was. Maybe thats the new way there detecting plots. Thats why I carry a semi-auto 30-06 with armor peircing rounds, if that MF'er comes too close it's coming down.

Take the lens out and put a red one in or if you dont have red lens get a red marker and make it(clear lens) red. Then use duct tape and tape the edges so you form about a one inch square in the center so a little beam of red light can come out. This is EXTREMELY important if you dont want someone to see you at night and try only to turn it on at arrival. Just picture how far you can see a normal flashlight waving around at night...a long friggen way! But not a red one. I also suggest wear dark multi layered clothes if yor gonna have to bust through the briars. In the center of a big nasty briar patch that gets good sun is an awesome place to grow cause nothing is getting in that SOB. Cept bugs maybe. GL we need to keep this one going.

NO, what you do is set out a bag of garbage or open up a can of sardines and set them out and sit on your porch in the dark really really still with 12 gauge Hi brass #6 shot and blast them suns a bitches into oblivion. And please dont say poor coons cause them bastards would bite you in a second if they could get a chance. There mean fuckers.
![]() EDIT: Or you can use a .22 but make sure you use hollow points cause them Koons can still run after being shot if you dont hit'em good.

I'd rather be a redneck than a city slicker who's totally unaware of the world around himself and is self-indulgent in whats hip, cool, who looks the best or whatever. Fuck that. I would rather die than live and be like modern day suburbia in all your prefab homes on your perfectly symetical culdesacs and perfectly trimmed lawns. I'll stay here on my farm with my chickens phesants and quail. The rest of the world can kiss my pimply white ass if you dont like it. Now back to growing Outdoors........

People hunt, people don't hunt. Smoke some Indica and let's just realise we are all different. People that don't hunt are probably further removed from how life was. I know guys who grew up in the city that feel bad cows are used for food. |

Yea I have like 20 plants with there 2nd set of leaves but Im a little nervous about puting them out yet. This warm weather we been having in the Midwest is extremely unpredictable, tomorrow it could snow. I think i'll wait till at least the 15 of May to put mine out, BUT you never know it could stay warm. The outdoors are great. Plants get huge, perfect fire building and beer drinking weather and all the ladies are in short ass shorts!
God bless the U.S.A.
