Use CFLs. Compact Florescent Light bulbs, pick the highest wattage you can find and make sure it is in the 6500K range of the light spectrum. If it doesnt give you a number look for "Daylight" listed on the box. I also use the normal florescent lights on the sides, but they are not the best light source of growing, just not enough for big plants. So I used 6 high watt CFLs 6500k spectrum and 4 florescent 6500k spectrum bulbs. Also since I'm not an electrician I used outdoor light holders used for halogen lights with plugs on them. I just moved the lights but you want to move the wires away from the lights like I havent yet in the last pic. Also if you cant find Mylar to reflect the light then use that stuff you put on your car windshield, does the same thing. And paint your box "flat white", not glossy. Mirrors are useless. Also the 5 gal bucket grow is an easy hydroponic grow, and very cheap. Who cant find a 5 gal bucket sitting around their house somewhere. This entire set cost me around $150. But you will need to go to a hydroponic store to get the nutrients and the ph dropper. PPM meter costs as cheap as $30, you will need it. PH drops costs 10$ and they last a while. You can use vinager and baking soda to lower/raise the PH level or buy the stuff at the hydro store.

The best light to use is High pressure sodium lights, but you need to get those at the hydro store and they arnt cheap. You can also get Metal Halide bulbs but I couldnt find them in my area. But CFLs are the easiest, cheapest, low heat way to go. On your power bill and on the upfront costs, but you do want to get the lights mentioned above when you have the spare cash.

I've been reading the grow bible and it was because of that mention. That I checked out this site and joined. I've already read heaps of really good information and good links to great resorces. I know that my next grow is going to be an improvement on the last.
The grow bible is my favourite book and its responsible for helping me learn how to grow indoors. I've grown outdoors alot when I was alot younger and found that a very easy thing to do. I would like to buy the new version of the grow bible with the medicinal aspect. But if it was intercepted coming into the country. I know that it would be only a matter of time and a search warrent would be coming my way. My concern buying from Amazon is if they put a declaration on the package. Stating exactly what it is inside, which is completely illegal here.
