When to harvest, trichs are not turning amber!!!
Ive got a few plants and they have now been flowering for over 12 weeks, even though the breeder says that the flowering time is 8-10 weeks. The thing is, I still don't see any amber trichs. My question really is, I know that the trichs go from clear to milky to amber, however, what happens after they turn amber... I think on one of the plants some of the trichomes have their bulbous head missing...so im a bit worried that it went through the amber stage and the bulbous head disapeared afterwards, though i doubt it because i have only seen very very few amber trichs...I think because the grow room is at 20 degrees celsius, the plants might be maturing slower. What do you think, should i chop them or wait longer. the strains are morning glory and sweet tooth from barneys farm btw

12 weeks? should be done.
Never believe the breeder. Especially about flower times. Most people want their shite to be harvested as soon as they can and the breeders know this and lower the flower times in the advertising. Most of the Indicas I run do best going about 12-14 weeks tho(flowering length will be a bit longer for those using a light mover.. Haven't had too many that were finished at 8.

hmm i thought the leaves were turning brown because the plants are nearing completion and all the sugars and minerals stored in the leaves are going towards the buds, because i didnt have thouse issues up until week 8 or so. About 70% of the pistils have turned brown, but probably 99% of the trichs are still milky with the odd amber found very rarely. I will probably chop them down, coz they have stayed at this stage for 10 days now with no significant difference in apearance

Really nice Christmas Tree shaped plant. The leaves look burnt and crispy. Those are not Fall Colors. I hope you have a few plants or clones ready to flower. That bud is not going to last 10-12 weeks.

the trichromes dont need to be amber-as long as they are cloudy its good to go.
