yeah, i have a buddy who is into spearing for sucker fish and he throws one in the bottom of each hole when he plants for great results. he is quite an outdoorsmen, and uses things like moose and deer manure instead of just cows sometimes... also, make sure that your holes are nice and deep when your planting with a fish in the hole, as if its not buried far enough down, animals might smell it and feel the need to dig it up... not so good.

Another couple of questions, if I may........Your special recipe, how many plants is one able to plant with the mix (with the amounts listed)? I don't mean exactly but approx (?)How often and how much do you water ( you mention that you put the ferts right into the 20 l pail , how many plants does this cover ? Do you give them ferts everytime you water ? Your temporary greenhouse ( what an ingenious idea!) are all four sides of the tent covered in plastic or are two sides left open ( for air?) ? You also mention that you wait till the "moon is right"........can you please elaborate a little on this also ? I know I have a lot of questions but I am just trying to understand better so that I do not have a repeat of last year ( my first try, and needless to say, not very sucessful!lol) Thanks for your help.

With the recipe you should be able to do at least 15 plants.....give or take. I always mix back in the soil removed from the Earth. Watering depends on how much rain we get...yes I do put all my ferts in a 20 litre pail.......and if I can get my hands on a bigger pail, so be it. Personally I fert almost every time....

The temp greenhouse is made fast and comes down fast....all 4 sides are covered with plastic. Oh yes the moon.......there's quite a few sites on 'Planting by the Moon'....you might wanna check that out!

Are you going seed or clone? And if clone, which one?? Northerners are limited to certain varities....if I may suggest that for your area to find genes that are ready no later than the 15th of Sept.

I read the link you posted about the moon cycle's, very interesting to note indeed. I am using clones. I would like to try and grow perhaps 3 different kinds. Northern Lights,M-39 and a strain from a friend, which is very hash-like tasting, but I don't know the strain.Around 5 plants of each.Which would you suggest ?

Both the M and the NL finishes on time for your location....

look for a farmer who has laamas, ask him for some poop. it is high in nitrogen and it breaks down slowly and it never burns there is also no weed seeds in it because the laaama is such a complete ruminant. they chew and chew and chew.

I went a little heavy on the 10-52-10 but tis water soluble and filtered through the moss.

These girls will get tied down 'cause there's 2 per tire........LSTing outdoors!
