^ Upon reading up about LSTing I found it to be a simpler technique of bonsai sculpting.
Bonsai uses wires to bend the branches of small plants into the more 'aged' look.

I once heard that a true LST girl never shows her stem.

so that shit that I harvested exactly a month ago gets me so high. I looked at it under binoculars backwards and it was beautiful. every single trich is amber and I just used a 3x magnifying glass to harvest!
The bad thing is that it's harsh and doesn't taste that great, but I've had worse. I think it's a combination of drying way too quickly and not flushing well enough(but I didn't use many nutes so that shouldn't be that much of a problem). |

these girls haven't even started flowering yet, I love it. I thought they were going to flower a month ago. I am in the same lattitude as humbolt cali, but I thought the mountains would make for shorter days. I guess not! Should I transplant once more before they start to flower?
![]() (strawberry cough on the left chocolate chunk on the right) I'm not complaining! Oh and I'm going to be getting my HPS/MH set up very soon. oh and they look over watered because I had to put them inside under a CFL for a night because of relatives and then brought them outside today. are you planning on leaving them outdoors? I'm at about the same latitude as you and my outdoor beauties have just started to flower... Can't be but a day or two into flowering bit it's got the uncymetrical stems and little bit of hairs here and there what size hps are you gettin? Your gona love it for sure... Just be careful about that heat |

thanks, I'm thinking 400w but possibly just a 250.
I figure I use about an ounce a month more or less. So what do you guys think? Maybe just a 250, then I can harvest two or three plants every other month. |

I'm going to tell you what stoneric told me... I found out the hard way that buying a 250 is a good start but you'd be better off going for 400 because it's only a matter of time before u want to upgrade
250 is nice but I don't think the lumens are pushed far enough for a decent sized plant IMO go for 400 |

i'd be happy with a 400w with a cooltube
but; your expectations may be more modest than many peeps you will easily surpass 1oz per month with a 250w and, i think modesty is a great attribute you could do short, or no veg the plant wont get very high at all so lumen loss is a non issue you'll get more harvests per year with short veg so annual output will be similar and i dont think quality is reduced much, if any otherwise; one nice lst will love it's own 250w dont discount the 250w is all i'm sayin loving your plants should be a nice show i wouldnt repot btw add some fresh topsoil instead |

What Cerebro said is all true. When I got a 250w I noticed a huge difference. I grow 1 plant exclusively and can say that the quality of the top buds was pretty much the same as when I got my 400w. I grow a big plant so I want more penetration.
I only say that it is inevitable that anyone who grows seriously will eventually have a 400watter. Don't fight it.

I've decided to finish this girl out doors since I started to flower her on accident and I don't want to wait to reverse back to veg. It's white russian.

I don't have much head room either so I'm going to have to do SOG, so that should take care of the quality all around.
