yay! We got roots! I've been pulling the clone out of the rock wool to see if there's any roots(I know it's probably a really bad idea but I've never had a clone survive yet).

So yeah I don't know if I did any damage to the roots by taking it out and putting it back in the rockwool. I was careful and last night I saw what looked like roots but I just confirmed them as roots tonight.

I will be so happy if this makes it! 1) It will be my first ever successful clone. 2) It will save me $15 so I don't have to buy another clone. 3) I love white russian!

no wonder none of the previous clones survived Spanky

Let the plant grow and dont fuss with it. I ve put unrooted clones straight into soil and the managed to survive just fine. I m sure with rockwool you can get even better results (more roots)

hahah no this is my first time trying to clone with rockwool. I was using soil with really poor drainage so the stem never got any oxygen and just rotted in the first week. This one is a first!

put em straight into good soil (w/plenty perlite) or leave em in plain water with a few drops of veg nute.

then 2-3 days later straight into soil

then add root stimulator

for some reason hydro is easier than soil for me. I like to be really specific and follow directions carefully and justing guessing with nutrients in soil is not good enough for me. I'm really liking this whole hydro thing. Besides, it grows so freaking fast.

These two pictures were taken less than 24 hours of each other.

Hell fuckin' yea boiii!!!!!

The clone has roots coming out of the net pot now. Cloning is so fricken easy, I just haven't been using the right grow medium.

I've got a new box to work with too. It's about 4'x2'.

I'll probably upgrade to a 10 gallon bucket later, but I'll just finish the grow with this since I already paid $15 for the aluminum tape and container. lol Or at the very least I'll upgrade if the roots get big enough.

So yeah any ways... and the HPS is still on its way. I'm still sticking with a 150w.

I decided to say fuck it with the hydro because 1) I was having heat issues so the hydro reservoir temps were getting in the mid 80s so it was causing some bacterial issues resulting in the plants being over watered. I mean they aren't too bad but enough to slow the grow down.

So I decided to get a refund on the 150w and I went out an bought a 250w today!

This is much easier to manage heat, and now that I have more room for soil I don't need the hydro.

oh yeah and so the strawberry cough that's in there right now is the slowest of my outdoors plants so I'm going to finish her under the HPS since I bet she won't make it before the first frost.

I didn't realize they were almost done. How long have they been in 12/12?

If you are close to your estimated harvest time then the yellow is good.

In my opinion letting them get this nitrogen deficient at this stage will decrease yield.

I would give it some nitrogen. Still time to flush it out.

yes, one last veg feed with N will do more good than bad in your case imo
looks like the small fans are yellowing now
still, nothing to worry about
i'd use an organic source of nitrogen
seaweed solution, compost tea, molasses, worm poo tea etc, a little blood n bone
you should start a worm farm, or compost pile for next year spank

do you have something that can bubble your water?
compost tea is best if it's been bubbling for 12-24hrs

I have no idea what you mean, my parents are into the coffee grounds more than anything. But all our fruit/food odds and ends end up in the compost along with anything else organic.

Oh and I forgot to mention it's a digital ballast. So I will definitely get a MH bulb for veging the next grow.
