Ideal as long as they don't catch fire
.Some plants may tend to herm a bit in later flower with high lumens.

ahah thanks farmer. i've been keeping the tops about 6 inches away but one of them started looking a tiny bit yellow on top so I moved them down last night. I personally think they will enjoy it a little more since it's a tiny bit cooler at that level. Maybe just enough to make a difference, I don't know. Just experimenting, so what do you guys think about topping? I'm thinking about it.. Does anyone else do it regularly? I want to keep a nice even top layer of buds, you know? Give the lower branches a chance to catch up to the top..

Yeah you're in the zone now with the light distance, just tinker till you get it spot on.
Edit- if moving from flouros move that close gradually to avoid stress. Topping- depends on the strain. Some prosper some don't. Some indicas just sulk if you top them. Make sure you do it early enough if you do do it. I wouldn't do it after veg.

What I would give to be able to nip out and adopt a clone or two from a local dispensary!
Can't see that happening in the UK for a long time to come ![]() All looking good, some nice strains you've got going... especially the Sweet Island Skunk... have always fancied a taste of that! |

yeah I think it's 3oz here, I'm pretty sure everyone is way over the limit on that part of the law though. Because I know dispensaries cure there buds for 3 months or more sometimes, so there's no way that the suppliers are staying within their limits...

Alright.
I repotted today into 2.1 gallon pots, I'm thinking I'm going to start flowering in the next 9 days so they get about a month to veg.I've been feeding them every three waterings, but I don't think it's enough... Is it ok to feed every other watering as long as your careful, or should I just feed them more(quantity)?? Last edited by SpankyMcLankey; 11-26-2009 at 08:59 PM. |

When you plant you start with good soil I'm sure. When you re-pot you use good soil. I can't see any reason to feed every other watering. Personally I go every 2 weeks and since I re-pot twice, I do the majority of feeding during flower. I veg for 6 weeks and feed once or twice.

Don't think so, they look ok.
re feeding- the advantage of not feeding every watering is it gives a chance for any salts that have built up to be broken up and maybe partially flushed. However to get the same feed delivered you have use a more concentrated mix than if you were feeding every watering. I feed most waterings but with fairly low concentration of nutes, and occasional straight waterings. Whatever works best for you really.

I've decided to bend the hawaiian over since she's so much taller than the others. I'll be flowering in 6-10 days depending on when I can get rid of the pH problem with the ISS.
I think the hawaiian is going to enjoy the horizontal grow though, since I only have a 250w I will get a much better canopy of colas than growing her vertically.
