New to growing

Hey there I found this site while trying to get more info on growing indoors. Have been reading the Growers Bible and watching a dump ton of Youtube, amongst other things. It feels like getting off the ground is the hardest part of this whole growing thing. I hope to find the help I need here.

I am torn between hydro and soil. The major thing I see is that with soil you have to get rid of it after every harvest and with hydro you have to be way more careful with the water nutrients and balance. That and the fact that hydro seems to be a more expensive initial set up.

Yea definetly start with soil
pot needs four basic needs to survive fresh circulating air, water food and light
with a hydro system your medium retains nothing and you basicly put the "food" directly in the water on the roots and flush it a few times... With soil you can water the soil once a dayish and the soil retains the food and enough moisture for the plant to survive
imo for a beginer go for soil
you still need to maintain chemicals and ph balances for both niether one is "easy" and gardens require a lot of attention and time to be succesful

With hydro, you have to control the varialbes a lot more, but you get quicker results, and most would argue a biger yeild.
Soil is more forgiving and needs less attention.
