I store in film cans or medicine bottles that are inside zip lock bags in the fridge.
Cool , dry and no light is the key. The longer you store them the less seeds will germinate but one winter is easy. I have stored seeds 10 years this way and still had 60 % germination rate. |

If it's only over winter, you don't really have to worry about it as long as they stay dry in an airtight container whether that's a bag or a film canister. When I know I will be keeping seeds long term I put them in foam in a little metal box.

I use an envelope. I seal it and then cut one of the long ends off. I mix the seeds with uncooked(had to say it)rice. I then seal the cut off end with scotch tape and store in dark cool place.
