please can you help me i am new to growing anyway i had my plants in 25cm pots which is 7.5 litres.Anyway they are only about 9 or 10 inches long i ave been growing them for about 4 weeks now.Anyway i looked underneath the pot and all the roots was coming out of the bottom so i have repotted them into 11 litre pots now i ave been growing 18 lights on and 6 off.
Would you say its time to put them into 12/12 they are dna sour cream and la woman femanized and i have got some ak 48 and northern lights aswell but them or not femanized like the dna and the la woman.I have been using a 250 watt cfl super lamp but today i have just bought a 400 watt lumatek euro hps dual spectrum which i think will be better wont it from 3 counties hydroponics. The northrn lights are only about 3 weeks old i havent give them all any nutrients yet i ave just got biobizz grow and bloom but not sure what to do and how much water will i ave to put in 11 litre pots please help me. I just cant understand how the roots came out the bottom of that 7.5 litre pots when they are only about 9 or 10 inches long so how much water will i need to use in a 11 litre pots.I am really grateful if anyone can help i am just panicking a bit as i am new to this

IMO Definitely NOT, but it COMPLETELY depends on how much head room you have. How much higher can you raise the light? If you're in a closet and have 7 feet to work with I would suggest going at least another month in veg.
It's really hard for noobs to understand that it's worth it to wait just another month. Right now, it might seam like a long time, but once you're done with the harvest after a 4-5 month grow you will realize that you get nearly 3-4 times more weight than if you would have veged for only a month. This might not go for everyone, but it's safe to say for most people with little experience and less than optimum conditions. edit: on a side note, they do look extremely good, keep it up man! |

You can start any time, preferably next watering. I would personally give it 2/3-1/2 strength grow nutes since it's looking pretty decent as is. Looks great so far man, you'll be very satisfied if you just veg for another month. You will definitely need to buy some bigger pots eventually though, I hope that's not a problem.

re Nute strength- Spanky means half or two thirds of the manufacturer's recommended dosage.
Are these plants from seed or clone? If from seed you want to see preflowering before you put them under a flowering light schedule. (Google cannabis preflowering images if you like) If from clone they should be ok to put in flower at any time. They will stretch when you put them to flower (expect height gain of 100% or more) so be aware of headroom constraints. You can flower lots of clones when they are small so as to have many small plants, this is often more convenient than having few big plants. Depends on your set up.

Because the age of a clone is effectively it's own age plus that of the clone parent, any viable rooted clone will probably be showing preflowering already. This is an advantage if you have height restrictions and a leggy strain with a long flower time as you can chuck them into flower as soon as they are rooted, keeping the final height down. I believe you favor a fairly long veg time anyway Stoneric so it's pretty likely your plants will be showing preflower by the time you put them under 12/12. Preflowering usually shows in 3 - 4 weeks from germination depending on the strain and environment.

Read the spec sheet that came with your ballast or look up lumatek's site.
