Will this small system work?

I want to possibly start some plants in my cellar for personal use. I want something small and as odorless as possible, for obvious reasons. A quick google lead me to this set up for only around $300. Will it produce a quality yield, or do need a whole ventilation system (I plan on having a fan or two but it will not vent to the out side). I only want a couple of decent sized plants, not a huge crop, so I don not want anything elaborate or want to spend a lot.

Can this be done? My friend in high school had one large plant (hydro) that yielded big buds in a small closet in his bedroom back in the mid 80's and I don't remember a odor issue. What do you guys think?

Dunno, not a good sign that they don't say what kind of lights it has.

$300 can buy a nice 250hps system that can be used throughout the plant's life. You can start a plant with a store bought flouro. I use a 42watter for my plant's first 2 weeks.

Plants smell. There are always odor issues.

northern lights # 5 is the strain I personally recommend for first time small indoor grows. It stays small, yet with high yields ,low odor, fungus resistance .
Relatively short flowering times.

Northern Lights #5 Seeds from British Columbia Seed Co - Marijuana Seeds Review

This state of the art Indica is the result of over 25 years of selective breeding. We have bred for vigorous growth, high yield and a superb high. A must for growers who prefer short, bushy plants. The buds have an extremely frosted, resinous appearance. Truly one of the best all-around indoor plants in our collection. Our #1 selling strain with thousands of satisfied customers.

My personal favorite "thinking" weed to grow.
