: ) yay harvested first plant... Ever heard of freezer purp?

Ok so yesterday was day 66 of flowering... 1 of my pure power plants was a indica dominant pheno and finished way before the other 3 which look more sativa like... I geuss this is normal with nirvanas ppp... Anyway as I was cutting my bright green indica Dom ppp I remembered of a trick I remembered a freind talkin about a while back called freezer burning your weed
so I took 1 of my freshly cut nugs and lay it gently in my freezer for 10-15 mins (probly shoulve left it in longer but this was my test) I then took itout and hng it to dry next to the other buds
I came back the next day and half of the enitre nugs leaves were curled and a dark color... As I looked closer that dark color was a light purple... And the resin glands looked way bigger...
I am going to try and leave in my next nugs for 30 mins then let it dry and see what happens
I just wanted to let you guys know and maybe learn something about how or why this happens purple is always easier to get rid of if I have to much ; )

I've heard of this before. I'm interested to hear how it affects potency, if at all.

I'm thinking there would be a lot more purple commercial shit around if it were that easy.

That's exactly how I was feeling... It does seem to good to be true but as far as I can tell there's no loss the resin glands still look whole under the scope but I'll let you know when it's done drying

well if the resin glands are still wet i guess it would make sense that they'd get bigger when frozen

i could tell some of the small fan leaves were turning purple in the middle though at harvest. i don't know, maybe i'll do more than one experiment of it. see if it affects potency or curing at all, etc..

I don't think the potency or taste will change much.

Purple weed is always fun though.
