clones
so i guess theyre not clones anymore, my plants are about 5 to 6.5 inches now, i have introduced house n gardens soil a&b, along with the house and gardens root excelerator. check out their numbers if you need to know......
Premium Quality Dutch Plant Nutrients & Stimulants - House & Garden so now the plants are bushy but i dont really want those little popcorn nugs that grow off the bottom stems, is it to soon to get rid of some "unwanted" stems that grow so close to the base? or should i just leave them alone? also now that they are bigger ive gone from watering every 3 to 4 days, to about every other day almost, granted i do have a decent amount of perlite in with the soil but now that theyre bigger do they use up that water more?? and when should i transplant them from 1 gal. to these 3 gal, deep pots we have? also ive heard that everytime you cut a stem/leaf that the plant goes into some sort of shock and stops growing for a day or something like that, is that true???? do should i "prune" them during flowering? sorry for all the questions.... haha thanks again

i used to cut off those little stems at the bottom cuz i hated dealing with it at harvest time but the plant uses that leafy stuff for storage. so if you leave that stuff on, the top of the plant will yield healthier /better quality colas compared to a plant with its bottom pruned up.
it deff shocks the plant to cut it and take some time to recover, so we should never prune during flowering, only during early veg just to train the shape we want. the plants do use more water when they get bigger, and will want even more when they get flowering. transplanting into a bigger pot depends on how big the root ball is. if it has enough roots to hold together all the soil in the 1 gallon then its ok to pot up. 6 inches tall doesnt seem too big for a 1 gallon pot, but check the root development for sure. hope thats helpful, good luck |
