buying oscillating fan 'out of season'

Has anyone ever had their fan die right in the middle of winter only to find out every store only sells them in summer?

Would a giant store like cosco be the best bet?

lowes, home depot, ace, what have you, local hardware store.

Better to get multiple small fans than 1 big one, too much wind will trash plants.

go into one of them stores that usually sells them, and ask to purchase it ahead of time.

I'm sure they are available for ordering, just not worth the shelf space during the winter.
