Talking purp URK

so my other plants kinda bit the dust, picked up a ph tester and found out our water was off the charts, not to mention the nute measurements the hydro guys gave me were pretty strong, the root excellerator says 30ml to 100L, im no good with math so maybe someone has a chart and can figure out how much, per gallon, the guy at the hydro shop said 1.1ml per gallon. anyways we picked up some purp urks..... and so far im far more satisfied, have only used water with these so far, waiting on the nutes so i dont burn them like the last.. heres some pics, theyve been vegging for about 2.5 to 3 weeks, on 18/6 cycle. i just up potted them to 3 gallon, deep pots. i know indoor flower they double in size so when should i switch to flowering cycle? theyre about a foot tall. and the ph is about 6.8 to 7.1 (depending on how much MAD FARMER up/down stuff i need to level it out) also should i trim these guys or are they still to young? (indoor soil, 1000w hps, i konw i should go MH, next time for veg)

PS!!!! 3rd pic is the remaining pineapples that survived the ph/nute overdose flush.... looking little better

And how much height do you have to work with?
I would definitely wait at least a couple weeks to flower for a better yield...definitely consider tying her down for max light penetration
And if it were me, I would probably start feeding veg nutes @ 1/2 strength

What kind of soil are you using? I would stay clear of Miracle Grow products and strongly reccomend fox farm.

If you start seeing any signs of nute burn, stop feedings and flush with about 10 gallons of water to get rid of excess nutes/salts in the soil.

Wish I had some Urkle right about now..
Good luck

Ps- fems or clone? wouldnt wanna waste your time on a male from seed...

all club clones and may i say the clones were so rooted when we got them it was hard to get them outta the red solo cups to the pots. im using happy frog soil and mixing in some extra perlite. im using house and gardens root excell and for veg time i have house and garden soil A& B, i have an 10 foot room to work with so height isnt a concern. thanks for help, i also have floating around in that sea some "blue cheese, urk, pineapple, and some other one the club had... sage.?.? so cant wait to see flowering. i have 12 going now so if i were to tie down how do i go about that, this is my 1st INDOOR crop so i just want it to be successful. ohhh yeah and PS i put one of the dying pines i had outside just to see what would happen and it turned purple and is actually growing(probably got a great flush with all the rain) ha ill put a pic of this stubborn bastard later.

heres some updates on the urks, the fan leaves are amazing!! how much bigger should i let them get until i switch? height isnt to much of a problem i just want a decent yield. keep seeing you guys talk about epsom salt, that helps with mag deficiency? one or two of my babies look as if its mag decicient, not bad and only on a fan leaf or two. i need to top off the dirt in the pot can i use ocean forest or should i use plain ol soil? thanks

I'm liking that fan leaf too .

If you are using a 1000w hps it will give about 3' or maybe a little less throw of useful light. So there is not much point ending up with a canopy deeper than 3 feet. Of course you can always train the plants out sideways.
Bear in mind the plant will stretch at the onset of flowering. I think purp urk is indica dominant so they might not stretch that much. Here's a link to an lst thread. http://www.yahooka.com/forum/growing...-training.html

Epsom salts- magnesium sulphate. About 1 tsp per gallon. The plants look healthy enough in the pics as far as I can see but imo would do no harm to give them a light dose now.

If you're going to top up the soil I'd use whatever soil you've been using already, just for the sake of consistency.

Keep an eye out for symptoms- you can re dose but you don't want to be giving them epsoms every watering- raises the ec levels and might contribute to nute lock up.
