Hey! i have 2 blueberry plants growing indoors under 400w HPS + a couple flouros. judging by what the buds look like now, how much time do i have left til harvest? just need a rough estimate. thanks! i'm itching to cut and hang these bad girls.

you shouldn't need extra fluorescents with a 400w, IMO you're just wasting energy doing that.

I'd giver her 2-4 weeks left, just depends really. On both the genetics and the environment. Everything looks great though, it's merely about preference.


If you have some binoculars, use them backwards and you can look at the actual trichomes.




Those are some really good quality pictures though. What you would see through the binoculars backwards looks more like this...



see those are still a little bit too early. you can see some cloudy ones, and one or two amber ones. Once you start to get to 1/3 amber trichs then you won't see many clear ones. After that point, you can harvest when ever you want based on preference.

That's some legit info Spankey posted there.

Also be aware though, that different strains mature differently, some will be showing mostly amber trics easily by the time they are done and others will pretty much never exceed 50%.

Those pics are a damn good rule of thumb though. You can get a cheap scope for small bucks and it's fun scoping the trics. Also handy to keep a look out for mites.

yeah, my first Blueberry grow was a complete failure. i had nice big buds, but the plant got infested with aphids. totally destroyed everything! i was spraying them daily with diluted soap and water, they just infested her way too quickly. I had started outdoors next to some tomatoes, then moved them in to bud. this time it was a complete indoor grow, beleive me, i've been looking for mites. thanks Giles. i apreciate any input, still new to growing.

Yeah they will pick up the mites outside, then when you move the plants indoors the conditions are ideal for the little blighters. Once they've got a foothold indoors it's hard to get rid.
