move the clones from rockwool to soil, when?
hi guys
Precisly a week ago I got my clones from my bud, put them in the rock wool with rooting powder. Tomorrow morning it will be 7 days where they are in the rock wool with 18-6 hours of 400HPS, and even with some problems they are in a good condition, two of them have got problems because I left their on lack of water, but now they look like healthy like the others. what I am wondering now is when do I have to put them on the soiI. I went through some guides and I read that they must stay 1 or 2 weeks on the rockwool and I saw some pictures where the young plants have some roots who come out from the bottom of the rockwool. are they strict rules for the time who they have to stay on rock wool? I mean after a week they must have made roots otherwise they would be died, so what do I have to wait to put their on the soil and start with some light nutes? ps: how much do I have to water the rock wool? I started with a syringe and some water three times daily, but cause an inconveniet it happended the problem who I explained upper on this post. After that I dipped the rockwool on the water and now 4 days later they are still wet even if I added some water by the syringe |

I just moved a seedling from rock wool to dirt. I just put it in right when I saw the first root come out the bottom. I put the rock wool in the dirt though. Then when it gets bigger then you can just tear the rock wool off.
It doesn't hurt to just put the rock wool in dirt. Just be careful not to over water the rock wool if it's a seedling. You only want to have enough water in the rock wool to keep it damp. Just enough to effect the color and weight as veda would say. I've always had trouble with seedlings in dirt until I found rock wool. It can be a great thing!
