taking clones ant topping?

I have a plant that is a few months old and I am going to take a few clones from it and also top it so it will grow two cola's if it is a female that is. I am going to use one of the clones to determine the sex of the plant.

my question is how many clones can i take from the plant at once and is it better to take them from the top of the plant?

also how do i top the plant to grow two colas? and can i do this and take clones together or would this be to much stress on it at once?

if it's not a big plant it might slow it down a bit, but I think anywhere is good.

it just depends on the size of the mother.

it's about 18 inches tall and very bushy. around 14 inches wide if i had to guess.

I took 2 clones last night. used a pair of shears, some peat moss pellets and some rooting hormone. checked on them today. the leaves both seem to be drooping some but one not as bad as the other.... i'm wondering if they are dieing or if they will perk back up. only time will tell i guess.
