If you can, use a stick and tie a rope/string around the stem. It might heal if the split is not too bad. This happened to a friend of mine just a few weeks ago and the plant is healthier than ever.
If you did this trying to LST, you need to remember that you must slightly bend the stems/branches in the direction you want it to be trained, as well as in the opposite direction. Any pics? yyM |

well if it didnt break all the way in half (the top of the plant isn't dangling by a thread right?) then you can simply get some toothpicks or maybe a couple popcicle sticks and set the stem in a splint kind of like a broken finger.
or do you actually mean that its spliting in half down the center from being pulled in two different directions? if thats the case, relax the tension and maybe just cinch a string around the split stalk. either way its something the plant will recover from. Hope that helps, i've only had to deal with 2 broken stalk issues. On both occassions the plants recovered in a few days. perhaps you could top the plant just below the split and remove the trouble area while encouraging secondary growth at the same time? tig |

i definitly dont wanna top it again i topped twice and well i got a nice small bush at 13 weeks i see if i can find a way to get sum pics. the stem is split directly in the middle of the second V and drops about quater inch no dangling or serious broken stem just a perfect split.

It's happened to me so many times last grow. The third time it happened I didn't even care. Just let the plant do its thing, you can try to support it but chances are you will damage it further. It's a living thing, it will heal itself.
Live and learn my friend. |

It's like a wound on anything, wrap it up so it's clean to heal a bit and then in a while take it off and see what it looks like.

wrap it for sure as soon as branchs break....I've seen huge plants...9-12 feet tall with broken wings. They were patched up with cat tail leaves....and tied off like a field dressing. A knot will form under the dressing....just keep in on till harvest.
