yes, naturally the sun will be out for 12-14 hours a day during the summer and harvest time(flowering time) which lets the plant flower

the 12/12 light schedule induces flowering so yes. if you were to get some clones and put them outside then covered them up at night, that would work. but depending on where you live, i'd do that in about a month or so (June 21st summer solstice)

Read up on how the duration of daylight affects flowering- it's very important both inside and out.
The info is all in the growing part of the FAQs.

But yes, covering them so they only get 12hrs of light to force flower will work.

Just one or 2 things about outdoor tarping for those that want to speed up the process.

Condensation can be a problem inside the tarp/box. Light penetration. Herms....
This method is for someone who can open and close the tarp every day for 40 some days....

the problem is the human error. you have to be on that 12/12 box....
plus you gonna have time to be home at both times to move the box....?
which if your trying to get your smoke earlier you might wanna try indoor, outdoor is kinda like water and thats it..... kinda takes care of itself and finishes on its own, you just have to pick it when its ripe

Under 18........and they are how tall now? Variety? Short strain?

Lots of members have posted the LST'ing technique...might wanna check by doing an advanced search.

So..........tie her down, tarp her, grow inside instead or....there's gotta be an or!

Even if you force flower you'll have a bitch of a time keeping almost anything under 18 inches.

yeah i'm planning on doing that tie down method and as far as the stain i don't know i got a mixed bag of females from nirvana so your guess is as good as mine and right now it's about a inch tall and starting to get its first set of leaves it germinated on saturday and i left in window till early monday then planted outside looks like it's doing great. so you think keeping it under 18 is a no go? what if i tie down and keep tying down and also is it ok to keep cutting the tops off to keep it short?

i dont recommend cutting the tops everytime it starts to grow just tie it down over and over till you have a plant growing completely sideways, i recomend getting the grow bible their is a few really good LST, and small grow articles in there that would benifit you alot at the point in time with your grow.

It will double in size once it starts flowereing or you force it into flower. You can tie it down and make a nice bush but sooner or later it's going to stretch.

Maybe set the plant(s) outside late in the season so flowering is short? I don't know the latest possible time, depends on the latitude.

i've got seeds from nirvana before and they were what they said feminized. and i don't have in a pot i just have in the ground in my garden with tomatoe plants and what not around it so that won't work but where it's located it probably only gets that much light. so i guess we will have to wait and see i will start posting pictures if wanted?
