Designing a new setup / Resources Analysis
Trunk approx. 20" tall by 3 feet wide and 20" deep. Sides lined with aluminum foil, dull side up.
3 26W CFL Lights with clamps and reflectors 2 15W CFL tubes, one stock, one with a plant bulb 3 dozen rock wool cubes Roots Organics Supplements: Buddha Grow, Buddha Bloom, Ancient Amber, 3 32-oz obttles Hydroponics Nutrients: Standard 3-part series, 3 32 oz bottles Flat White multipurpose spray paint black duct tape 5-outlet power strip small black 6" desk fan 3 plastic 8" pots 6 plastic 5" net pots Currently I am using the 3 plastic pots for soil bagseed grow that is failing. I'm considering discarding them and attempting hydroponics with a bubbler. Would it be prudent to start seeds in a reltively shallow (6-8" or so) tub with a large piece of styrofoam, holes cut in them for rockwool cubes with cotton underneath to act as a wick? Airstone would go into the nutrient solution, upon which the thick styrofoam (1-2") would float. Does this sound feasible for a start? And after vegetative, they could be transplanted to 6" net pots in individual 5-gallon bucket bubblers for blooming. |

So your trunk is only a little less than 2 feet tall? Doesnt leave you much room to grow after lights, and buckets n stuff. Are you gonna use a scrog method?
Everything else sounds on track, i dont know much about hydroponics though.
