Fucking bugs snapping my plants?

It was doing fine yesterday, then today the stem was snapped. How does this happen? Just from the weight of some fucking bug on the leaves? Are there any safe pesticides you can buy at ace or home depot?

Need more info. Where what etc.

Bugs generally eat stuff not snap it.

It was an outdoors plant. It was fine one day, then the next day it was snapped in half. There hadn't been any rain or heavy wind.

if the plants are being attacked at the main stem, just put a small collar around the base of the plant, the best material i have found to be is some old tinfoil! after the heat of the summer comes in most of the bugs around here atleast dig back into the soil

Could it have been another animal, like a clumsy cat or something?
