HELP!!!Plants dieing

ok i dont have pictures cause the grow is at my moms house and she just striped the plant as soon as it started to die.
The details are as follows.

When my mom checked my plants for me one had turned yellow and then in the morning it was laying on the floor dead.

I have been using miracle grow as the ferts cause i'm broke and have to work with what i have.

when she striped the plant she forgot to take pictures for me but she said that the stalk was all pithy and was a yellow green color. if anyone has any idea what is wrong or what we may be able to do to prevent this from happining again please let me know.

If how ever it dose happin again my mom will be taking pictures.

any help you can give would be very much appreciated.

thanks in advance
Neal

Miracle grow has a bad habit of nitrogen burning plants. Also, how often are you watering? What are your lights like? How old was the plant when it croaked? Maybe try using a mix of miracle grow soil and regular soil? My buddy Adam is using that mix with a ratio of 3/4 top soil and 1/4 miracle grow soil with decent results.

if it happens again i will get you guys pics and as my mother is running this grow that im talking about i will get that info to you i can tell you that the plant was about six months old when it happened. And i do believe that she is using the miracle grow liquid fertilizer. The lights are good on the kush plants but for a while during the veg state she didn't have good enough light but she sacrificed the not kush she had to put the lights on the kush. the plants are in the flower stage now. I will try to get some more of the info you asked for and i will let her know about the nitrogen burn thing. thank you.

6 months old? Wow they were pretty far along.... thats a bummer to lose. Was the plant budding yet when it died?

I was told from the start to never use miracle grow because of the metals in the ferts and the unstability. Good luck and sorry for your troubles.

Going yellow starting from the lower leaves would indicate lack of nitrogen.
Which is a good thing at the end of flowering as you don't want your harvest to be full of harsh tasting nitrates.
Was it a lot less green than the other plants?

And the plant falling over could be caused by the weight being too much for the stem or by something knocking it over. You could have tied it up with a piece of cane or a stick for the last week.

But I can't say for sure what happened.

I hope you dried it and smoked it man because that close to harvest, it still would have gotten you high. Were you flushing the soil to prepare for harvest? Any plant I've grown yellows quite a bit in the final 2-3 weeks because of flushing. I think the only way to prevent that is to use a carb or molasses which the plant can feed on without leaving a harsh chemical taste from ferts.
