try a damp paper towel folded in half with the seed inside. put the paper towel and seed in a ziplock. the seed should germinate and then you can just plant it in whatever medium you are planning on using.

good luck!

youd think , after three unsuccessful grows, a simple search of how to germinate...

also misleading thread title, as you are not starting good... you have not even started yet, let alone even know how to start.

sorry
/end pointless rant post

ah word...

the paper towel method works just fine. just dont let em get too rooty and dont let em sit and get moldy either.

make sure to keep the wet paper towel, in the bag, in the dark. Also make sure its warm-ish.

The paper towel works...also can use a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide. The germination is the easy part if ur starting with fresh seeds.

Using a glass of water works great. I use distilled water, half a glass, cover with brown paper bag, put it in a warm dark place and in 48 hours you'll have a tail.

my botany prof was talking about (iirc) gibberelic(sp) acid being used to induce germination. he said he was having problems getting a certain variety of seed to germ and he treated them with gibberelic acid and got 99% germination. i believe you can buy the stuff on line! might be worth it if you really like that seed
