Micro SOG... Everyone should check this out
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=69713
not my idea obviously... The thread is about a Micro SOG setup. Perpetual harvest of 1 oz+ every week. Only uses 200 watts of CFL lighting. Growing out of motherfucking 20oz soda bottles!!!!!!! This is easily the best idea ive come across, been planning on doing it for sometime now, have all the supplies, im just a lazy bastard. SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE DO IT AND GET SOME DANK FROM THE SWEET IDEA

Bearsy.... Im an extremely lazy bastard these days lately... Like can barely get myself out of bed lazy. im working on actually waking up at a decent time now, next step is the grow lol DO IT BEARSY... haveing all the materials is an easy thing to do, and cheap. I just stole some scrap wood for the grow box, i got two 100 wat cfls but you could just easily have a few of the smaller wattage ones for cheap. You dont need much else honestly... then it just takes how ever long to get that cycle going. You could have going perpetually like that REAL fast if you could get your hands on a good clone or clones. also people should look into those higher wattage cfls. It takes the pain in the ass out of useing the smaller watt cfls. With those you gotta constantly move them around, they work great, its just something u gotta constantly do. You can use these higher wattage cfls similarly to a hps, but much less heat. The light it gives off, if the plant is close enough, is better/more then the light commin from a hps i believe. dont quote me on that though. not like the amount of lumes but the spectrum of light or something. either way they pwn

I can't as I live with my folks and I switch back and forth between their respective homes. But I plan to start growing within the first week once I get my own place.

Thanks fer da link. Really got the noodle cookin'. Just settin' up and this is just makin' it harder to decide which way to go. This idea with maybe Super Blue Dual Arc HPS and some T-5 side lights? Wha'cha think?
Ya might wanna check the spectrum/Degrees Kelvin on those CFL's before you anoint them the new penicillin. Another bitch with any floro bulb, CFL or tube, especially if you're looking for a specific spectrum and intensity, is that they loose power and degrade steadily over time. This is also why they kinda suck in ozone generators and U.V. sterilizers. That plus the fact that ya have to keep checkin' them to make sure that you're gettin' what you thought ya had. Another issue is that there's a huge difference in quality 'tween the shit from Red China and the Nazi bulbs. As you'd expect, da Germans make the best shit and the commies...not so much. But they are certainly cheap, and it's hard to argue with the results that those boys are gettin'.

Thanks Dan. FB, that post is seriously long...but great! I wanna see if I can replicate on a larger scale. The clone requirements look a bit daunting but hey...I need a hobby.

if you're looking to do a micro-scrog w/ fluoros, try red_greenery's method....
Red_Greenery's Handyman's DIY Grow Tub small footprint, cheap, works.

I wasn't too worried about the set up cost 'cuz ultimately I'll be saving myself a house payment a month vs. the liver rotting pharmaceuticals that I buy now. After digesting FB's opus link and Red's set up I'm more convinced that the flro's will work just fine. I'm just more partial to the T-5s 'cuz I already have some and it's simpler to mount all of their ballasts remotely.
Not really interested in the SCROG, but maybe some LST to go along with FB's link approach to perpetual harvesting. If you haven't read it check it out 'cuz it is pretty friggin' wild. The yields are bizarre. What I think I've decided on is recessing a 4 tube T-5 in each wall and an 8 tube in the ceiling. Use the mini clay balls in 2 3/4" square containers sitting in troughs. Run a different flood and drain hydro system to each trough and feed the grow cab some CO2. Set my Moms above and my clones below and the whole thing could be as small as a wardrobe, albeit a tall sumbitch. According to that link a 2'X4' closet would hold over a hundred flowering clones spread across as many weeks of development as you want to tend. This is where the math get scarey. If I pull two rows of eight each week and end with 8 grams per budsickle that's ...128 gr./wk? Hell I'm good at 20% of that! Guess I know what everybody's gettin' for Xmas this year. I need toe roll the seed dice 1st so as it comes together I'll try the journal thing. Thanks all for the links, this is really interesting.
