The moisture meter isn't necessary when you can lift the pot to see if it needs watering or not.
The PPM meter is more of a necessity in Hydro, but could be useful for finding your chosen form of water initial ppm. The Ph meter? Yep, that's a staple IMO. While you can grow without knowing the Ph it's nearly impossible to fine tune the plants to any degree if you don't know what your nutes should be doing.
