Can I put multiple plants in one larger container?
Ok so I have 5 plants going indoors right now and they are only a few weeks away from being flushed and harvested... I have 4 of them in regular 5 gallon hydro pots and my huge trainwreck is in a 33 gallon storage bin that I popped some wholes out of the bottom with a pick axe to drain.... Which happens to have way bigger buds and more of them than the others...
So I was wondering if I got rid of the extra pots and just threw in 2-3 33 gallon modified storage bins and stuck 2 plants in each bucket would that affect the plant in any way? I would imagine that the plants will compete for the nutrients but if they are indoors I control most of those problems myself... So would it make a difference? With the 33 gallon buckets I'd be able to fit less containers but the plants would be able to wrap around the whole pot Any thoughts or input is greatly appreciated |

Usually I would say that the root balls would become tangled and harm both plants, but in a 33 gallon container, its likely not to be an issue. Just know that it'll be harder to transplant if later on you decide to do so. And transplanting a flowering plant, too much stress. It'll reduce your yield if nothing else. My advice: wait till next time.

It's from Vancouver seed company and Is a cross between fuckin incredible x big bud... Buy this strain if you see it... I've nevr had such beautiful purple without freezing conditions
All info is for my next batch I thought that was obvious... But thank you for your input and pointing out the flaw in the way I put that Sorry for any confusion |

Oh, ok cool. Hey man, would you mind posting some pics of your ladies? I haven't seen any purple buds actually growing on the forums yet.

Yeah you could have more than one plant in one container.
I'd always try to keep them separate because they are easier to move around to water and to position around the lights so you get a good even canopy. Also if one plant is doing a lot better it'll tend to choke the others in the same pot. Big pots are cool, there's no substitute for cubic inches.

The 3 little birds used to grow like that... cept I think they went for 4 or 6 in that size.
Course maybe they still do, been a while since I have heard much about them ![]() Could build little flat carts with wheels or castors to move them about.

no, not another friend story. but my friend who is one of the most experienced growers i know (besides GILES) and over the years hes been growing strictly straw cough for about 6 years..... now one of his "secrets" he wont give out is about some tea, which pham girl nailed in the other thread. but #2 secret is that he grows everything in the same pot or bed because he says the plants will grow and respond better. he kept saying something about synergy or i dunno i wasnt payin to much attention until he produces his product
...... maybe hes onto something or has just nailed that strains prefrences. i personally thought what most do, its gonna choke out the others.

Strawberry Cough is dank, like super dank, maybe its just his strain choice and good growing technique? But hey, whatever he thinks he needs to do to make em danker, its all good to me.

Harvest approaching!
You might have had a pH issue at some point, some of the big leaves show bleaching between the leaves and spotting. But then they aren't very far from the end, I'm just being hyper critical , you're going to get a good harvest methinks .

You guys rock... I don't mind u being critical... Honestly your probably right about the ph issue... As I found out the hard way when you mix a batch of 33 gallon nutrients I geuss the ph constantly goes up slowly but surely so I found out I need to test my nutes daily
thank you Dan I wen with the plastic zip ties this late into flowering because if I used my normal pipe cleaners those little hairs get stuck everywhere... Thanx for noticing... Actually some of the trainwreck nugs are so heavy they litterally cannot support themselves... Which I love the big one that fell sideways is trainwreck... The mug is bigger than my whole arm... I'm a big guy I will never use a product on my plants that is not advanced nutrients again... And flushing at the end is just as important as the rest of the details thanx again you guys rock |

I find Ph up moves fast with little solution but the Ph down takes lots to move little.
Thanks for sharing, awesome plants.

Yea the ph is very hard to keep under crontrol but I think it's probably the most important part of mixing nutrients because with a ph to high or low the plants can't use the nutes you give em
IMO if your going to be growing more than once it is almost crucial to get a ph meter a ppm meter light meter and moisture meter if your new I just started checking my ppm in the past couple weeks luckily I was pretty low even though I mixed a strong couple batches of nutes I was still around 8-9 hundred I just started the flush two days ago so I'm just using phd water and my final phase from advanced nutes which I've found really helps with taste and overall quality of the bud |
