SORRY, a hash thread

i know sirsmokesalot just started one but i didnt want to hi-jack his. first off heres exactly what im using.

through others advice through here ive been told that all 9 arent all that important. all i want is to get nice POTENT hash, through watching videos online it looks as if each bag is responsible for that(along with product quality).... so out of those 9 bags on the website, which bags should i use. i WILL be using the blender recipe, seems the cleanest way.

i will be using a lot of frozen trimmings, the close to the bud nice quality trimmings. those i shouldnt have any probs with.

for another batch of hash i have a plant that just wasnt looking great outback and with the cable guy on the roof scare i chopped it(she was about 30/50amber). right at the base and hung it complete, fans, buds, everything. this 4 footer is going to be a whole other set of hash. if i do the blender way, should i just clip the buds/fans off and throw those in there or....... do i need to trim it a bit? if i run my hands down the buds it knocks off the shriveling fan leaves, is that good enough?? THANKS AGAIN
im gonna do it tonight and try to do pics along the way!!

p.s. any idea on what that pic might bring in hashwise?? (grams)

^when i do trim with lots of bud.....being on the 3 bag system......i use only the first and last bag!

And......seeing as though you've got lots of bud....you might wanna run the blender twice on the same batch.

AND............prett y sure i you can get about 20 g's from that 4 footer.

Make sure you have plenty of well chilled water on hand.

der on my part would that be the 220 micron and the 25? in my case

well that was a blast, because of the amount of product i decided to go 5gal bucket style.... can see that i didnt need 9 bags, cuz a few were no-shows. but not mr. 100 micron. that was a nice golf ball when i rang it out. cant wait until its dry. weird though some screens were tan/gold some green and one was forrest green. i had fun, cant wait till next harvest, i think i will dedicate 1 plant per harvest for hash.....

i can see its not as easy as you tube makes it look, had a hard time with the smaller stickier ones gettin all the water out. can i just throw it in the freezer? hope so cuz thats what i did with one

As long you let it dry it out bubble hash should keep pretty well without freezing.

so does the micron size relate to the potency of the hash?? i normally get hash from the clubs out here so im used to the potency, but how do they know that one hash they sell me is 40% or whatever it says that time? im just curious so i know which one to savor ive smoked the 100 and the 25 and must say the 25 is stronger

The thinking is it's the tiny ones that are the best... not sure myself, but the coarser? screens do have lesser quality in the 3 bag set.

I did some looking for THC micron size. I read that its anywhere between 45 and 150 microns, but mainly in the 70-100 range. 150, and you get some plant debris. 45, and you get barely any hash plus the high isn't as fun as a larger pore size.

the last bag-the yellow one-is a 23 mesh opening!...

In the case of the 3 bag set-the first bag is a 65 mesh opening-the middle bag which i will eliminate this run due to alot of small buds-there will be no need to use it-the last bag, the bag i smoke is a 23 mesh opening.

i as well, i bought some earwax (hash) that they claimed to be 80%. and i must say that was a doosey........ it was like smoking a strong eddible.

but its weird that i got the most from the 100 micron bag? like 30g, the others about 1g to 2g.

when i domy next batch, which will be soon, i'm gonna weight it all at each and every strp.
for starters i put 30 grams of small bud.....to 5 ice cubes in a counter top blender....(there's where we differ.....that green foam is way more than using the hand held blender....)......an d add 8-10 oz of ice cold water....blend for 2 mins then pour into the 65 micron...which sits in my 23 mesher......!all those bags in the middle...i don't smoke any of dat stuff!!....only the 23 mesh.

so...we'll do our own math~~

so i decided to go and do some more hash, i used a bunch, did the blender method on the other thread DIY blender..... ok i used the same bag system, all of em, wanted the variety again.... so heres the pics of how the blender looked, i used full buds w/seeds (shittier outdoor) i followed the water/ice ratio, i was mixin each batch (had 3 blenders full) until that glass blender was sweating... about 7 mins each batch, resting at 4mins, adding more ice and letting things settle then rev back up for another 3 or 4 mins each.... i poured the frothy foamy mush into my work bag... 25 microns.... and i let it drain, had ice water to pour over the mush to get that foam gone.... then let the water all drain and squeezed it.... so that should be compost right?...... ok well all the other bags came up empty!!! i used a bunch of full bud.... now i didnt throw out the 25 micron bag because it just didnt look like compost..... i have the hash water gettin ready to go into the freezer but is this 25 micron work bag possibly some hash?? it has the same constancy but it was straight from the blender to the bag leftovers... heres some pics, you be the judge, i think once it dries i might try it, hahahaha

so anyways if this is garbage, which i think it is, what can i do with that water in the freezer?? do the boil thing? id hate to think theres a ton of hash at the bottom of that bucket

High again V.......if you froze the bubble water after using..then slow drip it for 20-45 mins depending on how much u have.

I slow.....slow reduce the drip water.....for every litre of drip it could take 5 hours to slow reduce it.

I always throw the last of the bubble water through the last bag....there's always a surprise!.......then freeze the water!

k i fixed the site link..... ok so i have about 2 to 2.5 gal of the bubble water, in a 5 gal bucket. whats the best way to drip it?? so this time i didnt have the directions but i remember last time the order of the bags, just to be sure, the bigger the number, the earlier it goes in.... like my 190 was the 1st bag i put in the bucket and the 25 was the last, the one on top. damn i hope i didnt get it backwards.

^ i'm all confused with the microns........i know mine are 66 (big one) 44 (middle bag) and the one i smoke is a 23 micron..

If all the mixture is frozen....lean it on a 90 degree angle.....it should start to drip within the 1/2 hour or so.

I let it drip till the color changes to a lighter color....about an hour long drip total.

I mix the contents of the middle bag (44) to the end product...and make gum-balls.

Ever so slowly (5 hours) reduce the mixture....placing a coat hanger under the stainless steel pot yer gonna use.

bag sizes aside, no bag produced anything, that chunk is the mess from the blender i just squeezed all the water out of. i pressed it good and got all the water out, its a good thing it was kinda shitty product because if it had been stuff i could have smoked.. grrr...... lets see what this frozen block will bring.

how much water will i collect?? should i just angle another 5 gal bucket under it? or will it be less, the bucket is 1/2 full of frozen bubble whatever..... or is it 1/2 empty?

I'd use more water- and maybe colder water.

If nothing is getting past the first bag, either the thc is not crystallising because it's not cold enough, or the cellulose (plant matter) is clogging up the bag.

Also, use cunning deft motions to swish the bubble around to give the thc crystals the best chance to fall through the bag.
